HOW TO PREPARE FOR A HAIR TRANSPLANT

Set usage period

• Panthenol spray (2 times a day for 14 days)
• Baby shampoo (2 times a day for 14 days)
• Chlorhexidine solution 0.05% (2 times a day for 10 days)
• Ointment for the donor area (2 times a day for 10 days)
• Sodium chloride (physical solution) for 14 days
• Vitamins (once a day — for 12 months in courses of 2-3 months with a break between courses for 1 month)

The start of taking vitamins is immediately after you finish taking antibiotics.

In the first 5-7 days after the hair transplant, a special pillow-headrest must be used. It prevents the transplanted area from coming into contact with the pillow and fixes the head in a certain position, which helps to avoid swelling and injury to the transplanted hair area during sleep.

On the first night, the headrest pillow should be wrapped in a disposable diaper. After removing the bandage from the donor area, a clean towel or a new disposable diaper should be placed under the head every day.

For the first 3 days, it is recommended to sleep on your back, lifting the headboard or using several pillows to raise your head at least 45 degrees.

Evening (after surgery)
Before meals (30 minutes in advance):

• Omeprazole 1 capsule

After eating:

• Ciprofloxacin 1 tablet
• Thromboass 1 tablet

Ketorolac 1 tablet at night (in case of pain)

There is a bandage on the donor area, which will be replaced by the clinic staff the next day in the morning. If you are unable to come, you can change the bandage yourself only if it is very wet.

Finally, the bandage should be removed on the 3rd day in the evening or on the 4th day in the morning, after moistening it with a sodium chloride solution. After removing the bandage, the wound surface will be open, so you need to be extremely careful not to infect it.

From 3-4 days you will need:

• Chlorhexidine solution
• Levomethyl ointment
• Sterile gauze wipes

Be sure to wash your hands before starting the manipulation. Then blot the cloth with chlorhexidine and treat the entire wound surface, let it dry for 5 minutes, then apply levomethyl in a thin layer. These steps should be repeated 2 times a day for 5-7 days.

Crusts, peeling, single "pimples" and slight itching may appear on the donor area. After 10-14 days, when the crusts fall off, you will see your initial result! If the crusts have not subsided on the 14th day, then it is necessary to wash them off yourself, and it is also recommended to do a light massage in the transplant area.

You can cut your hair in this area with a trimmer and scissors after 1 month, when the inflammation and soreness stop bothering.

Keep in mind that the donor area is fully restored after 4-6 months.

It is recommended to strictly follow the instructions and avoid touching the transplanted area during the first 10 days after the procedure.

24 hours after the hair transplant (in the evening of the next day), you should start washing your hair. During this period, crusts may appear on the scalp, and when washing, you can soften and remove them.

If the crusts still remain on days 10-12, add a light skin massage to the scalp wash in the area of the transplant in the direction of hair growth until the crusts are completely removed. During this period, you will be able to see the primary result!

From day 14, you can use your shampoo, wash your hair in the shower, and wear hats.

In the coming days after the transplant, there may be swelling of the tissues in the area of the transplanted hair, temples and forehead. This is not a complication, and thanks to medications, all symptoms will disappear within a few days. Minor itching, fine peeling, single "pimples" and redness of the scalp are also possible.

If you experience severe itching, an increase in existing symptoms, or the appearance of new symptoms, contact a clinic specialist for advice.

The transplanted hair begins to grow a few days after the procedure. Approximately 3-4 weeks after the transplant, the physiological process of renewal and stressful hair loss begins, known as "shock loss."

New hair from the transplanted follicles begins to grow after a "rest period" no earlier than 2-5 months after transplantation. Hair growth will occur in the same way as before the transplant, and over time the process will progress naturally.

After about 8-12 months, all the hair in the transplanted follicles will be completely replaced and regrown, and you will be able to see the final result of your transplant. Cutting hair in the transplant area is allowed only with scissors for up to 6 months.
